It's really not good when you're trying to get pharmacological principles through your thick skull and all you can think of is how cold your fingers are.
I also feel a grade A prat as I brought my sunglasses in with me today for cycling. They look pretty redundant now...

Couldn't agree more! I'm at Cardiff Uni and all the libraries I've used are freezing, even in summer (when I emerge from my nearest library wearing 2 jumpers and see everyone else is in shorts and flip flops...)

It's to help stop a build up of heat in your brain. Keeps it running efficiently. Maybe?

You should have come to Manchester - we have to hot areas and the cold areas...then the chilly areas and the warm areas. "Blue" is suitably cold, whereas, for some reason, "Purple" is like going on a summer holiday!
Is there any other way to revise Pharmacokinetics than in sunglasses?!
